People in small communities who want—who are thinking about getting tested for HIV, or AIDS it doesn’t matter if it’s a small community or if it’s a large community, get tested.

If you’re thinking about it then the chances in the back of your mind there may be a possibility that you have it.

Otherwise I don't think you would actually be thinking about getting tested for it.

If you’re thinking about it at all then do it.

It doesn’t take long to do it. It can be done anonymously.

It may come out negative. You never know until you get tested; but why live in the back of your mind every day thinking, “I may have AIDS,” “I may have AIDS,” “I may have AIDS.”

I did that for three years and it ruined my health.

That’s what made me go on a downslide, was just the idea of not knowing whether I had it.

I’d wake up every morning, “Is this going to be the day I die?”

Is this going to be…” You know, and stuff.

I didn’t know anything about it. I didn’t want to be around my kids…

I wanted to be around my kids, but I was afraid to be around my kids.

Whenever I would go up to their house I took my own cup, I took my own silverware, my own plate.

At this time I didn’t know anything about it.

I didn’t know if they could catch it from me or not, and I didn’t want to risk it and stuff.

So if you do… If you are thinking about getting tested go out and learn about HIV and AIDS.

This way if it does come back positive you’re not going to be completely shocked.

You’re going know a lot about it already.

And even if you come back negative at least you’re aware and you’re educated on the HIV.
