Southern AIDS Living Quilt - Shannon
As a physician, Dr. Shannon Hader, Senior Deputy Director, D.C. HIV/AIDS Adminsitration, heads up the efforts to stem the tide of the HIV epidemic in Washington, D.C., the city with the highest infection rates in the country. Urging women, youth and doctors to take an active role, Shannon promotes routine HIV testing by encouraging patients to ask to be tested as part of any medical exam and asking doctors to offer HIV testing to all patients.
