AIDS.gov Director Miguel Gomez's HIV Testing Message

Hello. I’m Miguel Gomez, the Director of AIDS.gov.

I’m in my car and I just walked out of the Whitman Walker Clinic in Washington, DC.

I took an HIV test.

I’m really glad that I took an HIV test not just because we’re upon National HIV Testing Day,

but it’s an important part of my routine medical care. Getting an HIV test.

It was easy. It was simple. It was fast.

What’s also really, really important is that I’m talking to you about the fact that I got an HIV test and breaking the silence.
